I moved to New Zealand twenty years ago to embrace a new life. Teaching in an Area school in rural Murchison in the middle of the South Island. Quite a culture change from my previous secondary school in Essex. Fitting into this new world was quite a challenge but one which my little family cherish to this day .

After three years we traded up to the bright lights of Nelson where I worked the next  13 years at Garin college. As Head of the Arts faculty I found life very busy and little if any time for my own  art practise. Taking a year out in 2019, I moved over to Golden Bay for a refreshing break from teaching ....and never went back !

Reconnecting with my passion for painting brought me alive again.

Working out of my studio , I now embrace the opportunity to follow my love for exploring mixed media paintings, allowing the process to drive my work into new and unexplored directions. Every day brings something new for me to learn and have the courage to follow. 

Expression is everything

Working out of my studio and at various locations around Golden Bay I offer art classes and workshops to inspire and spark off the inner artists inside of us all.

Everyone has the ability to enjoy the creative process. Teaching a wide range of techniques alongside exploring and unlocking the application of art materials . My classes will unlease your inner artist in a supportive environment with the focus on fun and self development.
